Melrose Arts and Crafts Society

Welcome to the Melrose Arts and Crafts Society.

The Melrose Arts and Crafts Society was founded in 1903 by Mrs. Mary B. Sterling, wife of the rector of Trinity Episcopal Church on West Emerson Street, Melrose. For over a hundred years, society members have been gathering together to create, teach, learn and share their love of craft.

Society members generally meet the fourth Monday of each month, from September to May, at the First Baptist Church at 561 Main Street, Melrose.  Meetings typically consists of craft classes, programs or speakers, reports and updates by the officers and committees, then refreshments.  There is a tradition of using bone china cups for tea or coffee that has been in place since the society was founded.
